PROFESSIONAL TITLES • Production Manager • Event Consultant • Media Relations
William Beebe continues to consistently provide high quality video production services, just like he has been for many years. Will’s careful consideration for what each client is looking for has allowed him to create videos that are both timeless and personal.
His work has been seen in the households of countless proud parents and by many teary-eyed brides and grooms. He has been a big contributor to a rapidly changing special event industry for many years. Adding to this experience is a degree in digital media and a clear understanding of the way in which new technology is re-shaping the future of how we communicate and share experiences, and video forever. Your event is just as important to him, as it is to you.
STYLE AND APPROACH:
Aggressive shooters will direct you while shooting, to create great memories. Passive shooters will keep a comfortable distance while filming you, and allow things to happen naturally. However, if your cinematographer is too passive your video will look like it was shot by a guest. If they are too aggressive, you will feel harassed . Some have said my style is a great mix of aggressive and passive shooting.
My approach is simple. I need to find out what your story is. Your video is so much better when I know who you are…
MY FAVORITE VENUES TO WORK IN:
• Central Park Boathouse My reasons why: There are so many great backgrounds for cinematography. ( The fountain, Boathouse, Flowers, Bridges, Horses, etc. ) But, the biggest reason is I got married at Central Park. It’s a place my wife and I had some of our first dates…
• The Rainbow Room My reasons why: Unfortunately, this place is closed. But, there were many cool things about The Rainbow Room. They have a round spinning dance floor, and a staircase that leads down from a balcony, which makes your Grand Entrance very dramatic. I loved being able to see the Empire State Building from the ballroom…
• The Pierre My reasons why: They have a nice sized ballroom, and many great murals to use as backgrounds. But, my favorite place to shoot video at The Pierre is the Rotunda…
• The Waldorf Astoria My reasons why: The biggest dance floor I’ve ever seen. I love filming dancing in this place, because of the three huge balconies surrounding the ballroom. And after the event planners have finished with their room decorations, I’m always blown away…
MOST NOTABLE EVENTS I’VE COVERED:
• Steve Madden’s Wedding – The cake was really cool. They were two shoe boxes stacked on top of each other, with two high heels on top. It’s amazing what you can do with fondant.
• A birthday for Vera Wang’s daughter – In our industry, she’s huge. You can’t count how many women who have worn a Vera Wang dress. I remember telling a friend that everyone at the studio is making a big deal about this event we are going to shoot. My friend said, “Well, who is it for?” I said, “Some lady named, Vera Wang.” They went, “You mean to tell me you are in the wedding business and you don’t know who Vera Wang is?!” I had no clue.
• A birthday party for Mukesh Ambani’s children Akash and Isha – It was a pretty laid back party at the Mandarin Oriental. I had no idea I was filming the richest man in India.
